All military services have regulations and provisions for administrative actions designed to motivate, improve, or rehabilitate personnel whose duty performance is unsatisfactory or who exhibit other problems which interfere with duty performance or the unit’s mission. If a service member fails to respond to motivation or rehabilitation, commanders can use other administrative remedies to take remedial or adverse action. In almost every case a service member facing administrative action has a right to consult with military defense counsel or military legal assistance counsel, and those facing administrative action should utilize this right as their first line of defense in these cases.
As civilian counsel for military personnel, the Law Offices of Krupa and Clark would most typically get involved in adverse administrative actions where the service member is facing separation from the military, reduction in rank, official reprimand or other adverse action that could result in separation or otherwise negatively affect their military career. As detailed military counsel and as retained private counsel, attorney Steven Krupa of our office has represented scores of military personnel facing adverse administrative action. He has appeared at administrative boards throughout the United States and has saved the careers of many deserving military personnel. If you are facing adverse administrative action or separation he will gladly consult with you with the caveat that you must have first personally met with or spoken to military counsel about your issue.
